The cytoskeleton is a filamentous network that is associated with processes that maintain and change cell shape and produce cell movements. 세포골격은 세포의 모양을 유지하고 바꾸며, 세포의 움직임을 만드는 과정과 연관된 필라멘트 망이다. Steroid Hormone (focusing on Cortisol)
Cortisol (코티솔)은 스테로이드 호르몬이며, gluconeogenesis(포도당신생합성, 해당과정의 가역반응)를 통해서 혈당을 높이는 역할을 하며, suppressing the immune system을 한다. 대사 촉진, 뼈 형성 저하의 기능을 하게 된다. 이때 주로 사용되는 약물은 Dexamethasone이고, 이 부분은 Cushing's Disease의 검사방법인 LDDST와 HDDST에서도 나오니 잘 익혀두어야 한다. (1) Summary Brachycephalic이라는 용어는 short를 뜻하는 그리스어 Brachy와 head를 뜻하는 cephalic에서 왔다. 따라서 Brachycephalic은 단두종이라는 뜻이다. 다음 글의 제목 Brachycephalic Airway Obstruction Syndrome In Flat-Faced Dogs는 ‘평평한 얼굴을 가진 개에게 발생하는 단두종 기도 폐색 증후군’이라고 해석될 수 있다. 단두종 개들은 일반적인 아래턱과 눌린 것처럼 보이는 윗턱을 가졌다.
